Join this afternoon excursion for some whitewater fun - and pause for a unique dining experience, as you are served a riverside dinner at an exclusive river-access-only dinner camp overlooking the two largest rapids in the canyon.

People come from all over the world to experience this 8-mile whitewater trip. Once you've taken this trip, you'll see why the Snake River is such an unforgettable place. Everyone from first timers to return rafters are welcome on this trip.

Choose between normal small boats (15'6" with 10-12 guests per boat - some paddling, some non-paddling) or super small boats (13'6" with only 6 paddling positions).

Description

Raft Trip Details

This trip launches from the Snake River Canyon and winds its way south toward Alpine, WY. You'll travel 8 river miles from start to finish where there are about 8 sets of rapids, ranging from class I and II to class III. Various river features will be encountered, such as Million Dollar Fishing Hole, Gauging Straights and Bailing Straights. Your guides will inform you on the history of the area as well as the local flora and fauna.

In the middle of the trip, you'll pause just after Gauging Straights at the exclusive river access at Blind Canyon - overlooking the two largest rapids in the canyon - for the unique dining experience. At the end of your meal, you will hit the water once again to finish out your whitewater experience with the biggest rapids in the canyon right off the bat.

The Snake River Canyon is rich in geological history and your guide will point out some of the features that make this canyon unique. You may see river otters, osprey and bald eagles on your trip. A lucky few might even catch a glimpse of a mountain goat, a mule deer, an elk or even a grizzly or black bear.

Boat Types

STANDARD SMALL BOAT - This raft is an AIR inflatable, self-bailing, 18'3" raft. It seats 16 people but these trips average 10 to 12 guests per boat. There are non-paddling and paddling positions in this raft.

SUPER SMALL BOAT - This trip features a smaller boat, an AIR inflatable, self-bailing, 13'6" raft. This is a 6 man raft. There are 6 paddling positions in this raft.

Dinner

Dinner includes a choice of steak or trout, potato salad, pasta salad, garlic bread, corn on the cob, dutch oven cobbler and hot/cold beverages.

  • Coast Guard approved life jackets (mandatory for each passenger)
  • Safety helmets during high water conditions

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
